Over the past few years Jean has completed various community projects around the Manchester area, working with all age groups from three years old to 93 years young.

She has also worked in schools on projects lasting from a day to several months, with women at a Women's Refuge, with infants and parents at several nurseries, with people with mental health problems and with young people at risk with one of Manchester's Young Offenders Teams.

The work she has orchestrated with these groups is diverse, including painting large murals, mosaic interior and exterior walls and panels, collages, furniture restoration and plaster reliefs.

While executing this work, Jean has whenever possible incorporated visits to libraries, museums, art galleries and related work places in an attempt to extend the experiences of those taking part.

The work is always fun based but Jean has always insisted on a high professional standard from those with whom she works.
